Sacrificial Anodes for Submersible Pumps
In particularly harsh ground water some submersible pumps and motors can be subject to corrosion. A sacrificial anode can be the answer. They work on the same principal as sacrificial anodes in hot water systems and those found on outboard motors.
What do sacrificial anodes do?
Put simply sacrificial anodes are highly active metals that are used to prevent a less active material surface from corroding. Sacrificial anodes are created from a metal alloy with a more negative electrochemical potential than the other metal it will be used to protect.
PM Technology Sacrificial Anode especially made for Submersible Pumps
PM Technology of Italy have a quality “cadmium free” zinc-aluminium alloy sacrificial anode designed specifically for 100mm ( 4 inch ) submersible pumps as commonly used in domestic water bores found in Perth and all over Australia.
The PM Tech submersible pump anode has been designed to easily be applied to the lower end of the submersible motor enabling a quick retrofit. This anode protects submersible pump motors from stray currents or corrosion from particularly aggressive bore water.
