Treeby is an up-and-coming new suburb south of Perth, surrounded by Piara Waters, Harrisdale, Jandakot and Atwell. Today Jack finished connecting the bore we just drilled into the existing reticulation system. This is a corner block so our customer is going to save heaps of $ on water year in – year out from now on.
Plenty of pressure from this new submersible bore in Treeby
The groundwater profile in Treeby is much like nearby Piara Waters. We drilled and cased this submersible bore to a depth of 20 metres. Groundwater was encountered at 2 metres. Normally in such shallow groundwater areas we would only drill to about 15 metres but our experience drilling bores in Piara Waters and Treeby is proving invaluable. There are bands of black peaty sands and sometimes clays than can present problems to drillers without local knowledge. Where possible we avoid positioning our screens next to these bands to help maximize flow and optimize bore water quality. The driller’s report on this bore confirmed a good flow after we air developed it.

The pump installed will do about 70lpm and is driven by a .75kw high efficiency submersible motor by PM Technology of Italy.
